The Baseball Industry

So, I was chatting with my friend Dan about baseball, and he mentioned that he thought it was impressive how much of the United States' connection to the aerospace industry was reflected in our professional sports team names. I'm sure he's not at all biased by the fact that he works at Boeing, but I digress. At any rate, he pointed out the Houston Astros, the Houston Rockets, the Seattle Supersonics, and the New York Jets. (Yeah, I thought the last one was a stretch too, but you can't blame a guy for trying.) At any rate, I decided to do some investigation myself. Here's what my research turned up. Comments:
Wow. This post reflects a level of commitment that I have yet to display on my website. Today I gathered the most recent Harry Potter rumors, which center around the title of the sixth book, but I have yet to post them. Maybe I'll get around to it later.

Well, you could see it as commitment to my blog, or you could see it as a lack of commitment to work on a Friday afternoon.

I'm all about non-commitment to work on a Friday afternoon....in fact, I'm pretty much all over that regardless of the day or time thereof....but Friday's especially...I also think the plundering industry is the most humorous...

why limit it to the 4 majors? you could include mls and arena football...with names like the Colorado Rapids, the San Jose Eartquakes, the Chicago Fire, and the Tampa Bay Storm (and Tampa Bay Lightning?) you could create a "Natural Disasters" (where's Typhoon, though??) Arena has the New Orleans VooDoo (mystical), and the Arizona Rattlers and San Jose SaberCats (Zoo). I don't think you should include colleges, though.

And I am ALL FOR not working. Heck, I'm "working" right now, and have been since 10am.
